Are you looking to go into the Security Industry?

As of April 2021, the Security Industry Authority will require all new applicants for an SIA licence to hold a First Aid at Work qualification in order to be a licenced security professional. Clear Choice Training is pleased to announce the following courses are SIA approved for the purposes of gaining a licence. All our courses can be delivered at our Sidcup training centre making it easy for those based in South East London or Kent.

First Aid at Work - FAA Level 3 - 3 day

Ofqual approved course. All successful students will be issued an FAW certificate lasting for 3 years. This FAW course covers all aspects of basic life support including CPR, bleeding, unconsciousness, choking, head injuries, sprains and strains and a vast range of First Aid conditions that you may experience in the workplace.

Defibrillation - FAA Level 2 Award (CPR & AED skills) 1-day

The very practical 1-day course will allow suitably qualified First Aid personnel to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of the AED, but also revisits some basic First Aid skills, including resuscitation. All students are offered a 3 year qualification, subject to assessment.

Catastrophic Bleeding Control - (Bolt on course) - 3 Hours

This 3-hour course will provide learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with the inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings whilst administering first aid in a high-risk working environment. Learners must hold a valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate in order to attend the course.

Airway Management - (Bolt on Course) - 3 Hours

This 3-hour course will equip learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise on how to how to manage a casualty’s airway in the event of an emergency. It will also advise on the inherent dangers associated with the use of various types of airway devices. The course is suitable for first aiders, prehospital care providers and those working in high risk environments.
